Training for British Dressage with Equestrian Reflections Mirrors
Laura is a member of British Dressage and has progressed from BYRDS into Seniors representing,
Devon, the South West and then England at the Home International for the last three years. In 2015 she was Home International Individual Elementary Champion in her first season with Extasia. So far this season Laura and Extasia have achieved four +70% scores at the Winter Regional Champs, qualifying for the Nationals in both the Elementary Open and the Novice Freestyle open at the Winter National Championships where they just missed the top ten coming 11th. They are now out and about competing at Medium, qualified for 2016’s Summer Regional Championships intending to go Advanced Medium later this year.
On her other horse – Alfie (TullyReavy Prince Jones) she was Medium Champion at the South West Petplan Area Festival Regional Championships in 2014. Alfie has just recovered from a tendon injury and is regaining strength & fitness doing some Elementary tests having also qualified for the Summer Regionals this year. Hopefully Alfie will be ready to go back up to Medium by the autumn.
Laura trains regularly with Conrad Schumacher at the Half Moon Stud in Dorset and aims are to progress through the levels to be in a position to apply for the World Class programme when applications open again in 2018 with Extasia. She intends to achieve her top hat and tails and compete internationally in the future.
